Trader Joe’s Fall Cheeseboard

Fall is one of my favorite seasons and I think part of the reason why is because of all the fun Fall-themed items you can find at Trader Joe’s!

I found so many fun Fall items on my weekly TJ’s run and was able to use them to create the perfect Fall cheeseboard. You can bet I’ll be making this one over and over again all Fall! Use my TJ’s grocery list and my step-by-step board building guide below to recreate this colorful (and delicious!) Fall board!

Board Building Guide

When building a cheeseboard, I have a few steps I like to follow each time. These steps help you lay out your board and focus on creating it one step at a time so it doesn’t get too overwhelming when trying to decide where to put everything.

Step 1

First, lay out all of your items and start to think about where you will place each item. Focus on the largest items first (large cheeses or any containers/bowls you may be using). You’ll build around those.

Step 2

Unwrap and cut all of the cheeses. You can find lots of tutorials online for how to cut specific cheeses (like this link here).

Step 3

Lay out your biggest items and cheeses. If using, go ahead and fill any bowls/containers with jams/jellies/pickles, etc.! Make sure you spread them out across the board to keep it balanced.

Step 4

Add in any meats! I chose not to use any on this specific board, but if I’m using any type of Salami, etc. I like to fold it and lay it next to the cheeses.

Step 5

Lay out your nuts and crackers. Nuts are perfect for covering corners. Same rule applies here as with the cheeses - make sure to spread the nuts and crackers out on both sides of the board to create balance. I like using nuts to fill the corners of a board. Crackers can take up a lot of space, so they are great to fill in big holes on your board.

Step 6

Add in the fruit! Make sure if you have larger fruits (like apple slices) that you leave enough space for those on the board. Sprinkle smaller fruits across the board to evenly distribute color (I love using Pomegranates or Blueberries for this!)

Step 7

Finish it off with any garnish you have on hand - I love using Rosemary, especially for Fall boards!
